Water Use Aspects Analysis: Zeravshan Case Study

May 2022

This study explores the prospects for implementing an integrated water resource management system in the transboundary Zeravshan River Basin. The study examines hydrological changes, water usage patterns, and their projected dynamics, identifying key challenges such as unequal access to resources and the potential for conflicts between upstream and downstream users.

The key findings were presented in a map that that illustrates the research findings comprehensively and provides an overview of the key factors influencing the formation and use of the water resources in the area. It is supported by a table that shows the factors of water use and their prioritization applied at the sub-basin level.
